Bioinformatician Tumorgenetics

Solliciteer direct

Jouw functie

Within the Department of Human Genetics, we implement and apply the latest genome analysis technologies for patient diagnostics, including exome and genome sequencing, as well as long-read sequencing for a wide range of genetic tests. In collaboration with the Laboratory of Tumor Genetics, we have developed tests for cancer genetics, such as targeted gene panels, whole-exome sequencing, and shallow whole-genome sequencing of FFPE material and liquid biopsies. We are looking for a bioinformatician to support the further development of existing tumor genetic tests, as well as the development of new tests.

You will work within a large group of approximately 20 bioinformaticians embedded in the Department of Human Genetics, who are responsible for the analysis of genetic data for patient diagnostics. Within this group, you will be part of the team responsible for tumor genetics applications. Your work will involve improving and implementing new features in existing analysis pipelines, as well as developing analysis methods and workflows for emerging technologies.
